Thank you for walking down the yellow brick road with us!
“Today we celebrate the history that has made us who we are; the country that we love and the values and institutions that underpin it.” – Tony Abbott, Prime Minister.
Happy Australia Day!
There’s a delightful Oz cottage at FUNPARK this weekend as part of the Sydney Festival. A room packed with Oz memorabillia, tea with collector Dorothy Overton & conversations with Oz enthusiast, artist David Capra – presented by The Wizard of Oz Funland & Show.
Visitors to the Funland enjoyed the magical experience of meeting Santa and playing with him in a special misty Christmas Tree forest complete with “real” falling snow and twinkly lights. Families also reveled in the true meaning of Christmas as they took photographs next to a life-sized Nativity scene with a unique Wizard of Oz touch.
“We’ve tried to add more warmth and happiness to the local Christmas experience in a unique way that is economical for families to experience”, said the Funland’s director Brian Laul.
The rain did little to dampen spirits at yesterday’s 5th Annual Hollylea Road Car Bike & Hot Road Festival where more than $11,000 was raised for the 24 Hour Fight Against Cancer Macarthur.
Thrilled to be judged winner of the Best Community Organisation float at the Fishers Ghost Street Parade. Lots & lots of familiar faces along Queen St – hope to celebrate this Christmas season with all of you at the Funland. And congratulations Tracey, Amanda & Campbelltown Council events folk and SES volunteers on a remarkably well organised event.
Another awesome weekend at the 24 Hour Fight Against Cancer Macarthur and some great talent on stage. A very special thanks to Campbelltown Camden District Band, Jemma Beech, Leah Cassar Voice Production, Christerine Laul’s students, Kirsten Little & friends, Tuese & the Samoan AOG group, Isabelle Estefan, Kate White & Nathan Rix for so generously donating your time to entertain us, Brooke Manzione & Eddy Barila for ‘pitching in’!
