Produced by Sydney-based company Youngstars2.com, The Wizard of Oz Show has been performed 3800 times internationally to date.
In this new, interactive re-telling of Frank Baum’s classic story directed by Brian Laul, kids can rap with the Tinman, roar like a Lion, wake up sleepy Shakey the Scarecrow and dance with Dorothy as they go off to see the Wizard.
This is no sit-down-and-watch affair – everyone is even invited to come dressed as their favourite characters to celebrate their visit to Oz. Live action comes together with 3D animation on screen, catchy tunes, Christerine’s colourful costumes and loads of interactive fun in this ‘toto-ally Oz-some’ treat ideal for 2 to 8 year olds.
The show’s cast have been honoured to perform with and for the last living cast members from the 1939 MGM classic and other Oz royalty in America. They have represented Australia at the International Storytellers Festival and are proud international ambassadors for India Vision Institute’s eye care awareness campaign with their good friend Ollie the Optometrist.
The Wizard of Oz Show is about more than giving kids a good time. It spreads a message of hope and self-esteem to the young. Do bring along a toy or book for the show’s Children’s Hospital Toy Appeal. Duration: 1hour approx.
